We Must Speak for those who can’t speak for themselves.
Animal abuse is a matter of shame that always gets pushed aside. This is really very cruel for them. Animal abuse happens more frequently than most people even aware of.
Animal abuse can be deliberate or by just simply neglecting to take care of an animal. There are several types of animal cruelties that have been going on recently.
Here are some news headlines which were observed recently:
- Maharashtra: FIR against two teens for gouging out dog’s eyes.
- Dog stabbed on head, animal cruelty cases on the rise in Covid-19
- Ambala: four booked in separate cases of animal cruelty.
- Animal cruelty: FIR lodged in puppies beheaded case.
- 100 stray dogs culled in Telangana, case registered.
- Panchkula witnesses 2 cases of cruelty towards stray dogs.
- Complaint against owners for cruelty to bullocks.
- Akola dog cruelty case reported to the animal welfare board.
And the most recent one, “An offense has been registered against unidentified persons for allegedly sexually assaulting a female dog in Mumbai’s Powai area.”
‘She was in a pool of blood’: Female dog struggles for life after brutal sexual assault in Mumbai.
This is really very shocking. How anyone can be so cruel ??
The cruelty with those who can’t speak, who can’t even utter a single word for their pain. Already street dogs suffer a lot.
This incident came to light when one Devi Sheth received a video wherein Noorie(female dog) was seen lying in an unconscious situation at Galleria Mall in Powai. At the moment, she, along with her mother, went to the spot and found the speechless canine lying in a pool of blood with an 11-inch wooden rod inserted in her private parts.
They rushed her to NGO World For All’s care center, where vets removed the rod from her private parts and started her treatment. Her condition, however, is still critical.
“She was in a pool of blood. There was no response, but you could see she was suffering … When we found her, so many people were just walking past… Strays are our responsibility. But people discard them like they are nothing,” Devi told Mumbai Mirror.
Case lodged under IPC Section 377
The assault was reported to the Powai police by Bombay Animal Rights (BAR), following which a case was registered against unidentified persons under IPC sections 377 (unnatural sex) and 429 (mischief by killing or maiming an animal).
Vijay Kishore, from BAR, told MM, “It is uncommon for the police to book people under Section 377. However, the brutality with which she was assaulted led them to add the section.”
Most people don’t even understand this small thing that animals experience the same types of psychological abuse that humans do. Animals need to be cared for and treated right. They are not things we can take our anger out on or be killed for fun.
There are several ways in which you can stop abuse and can prevent abuse from happening. We should raise our concern whenever we see all these brutalities near us. This is high time. Increase the volume of your pitch. Stand with them. They really need our support.

Operation Sindoor: Global Reactions to India’s Surgical Strikes on Terror Bases in Pakistan
India launched a targeted military operation, codenamed Operation Sindoor , striking nine terror hubs in Pakistan and Pakistan-occupied Kashmir (PoK) in retaliation for the Pahalgam attack that claimed 26 lives two weeks prior. The Indian Defense Ministry confirmed the operation aimed to dismantle infrastructure used to plan cross-border terrorism against India. The strikes triggered intense cross-border shelling, escalating tensions between the nuclear-armed neighbors. Here’s how the world responded:
U.S. Calls for De-escalation
U.S. President Donald Trump expressed hope that the conflict would “end very quickly,” calling the situation “a shame.” He acknowledged awareness of potential escalations, stating, “We heard about it just as we were walking into the Oval Office.” Meanwhile, U.S. Secretary of State Marco Rubio engaged in urgent diplomacy, speaking to India’s National Security Advisor Ajit Doval and Pakistani security officials to urge open communication channels and prevent further hostilities.
UN and UAE Urge Restraint
United Nations Secretary-General Antonio Guterres voiced deep concern over the strikes, urging both nations to exercise “maximum military restraint” to avoid a full-blown crisis. The UAE echoed this sentiment, with Foreign Minister Abdullah bin Zayed Al Nahyan appealing for de-escalation and dialogue to prevent further instability in the region.
Israel Backs India’s Right to Self-Defense
In a strong show of solidarity, Israeli Ambassador to India Reuven Azar declared, “Israel supports India’s right for self-defense,” condemning terrorists who target civilians. He emphasized that perpetrators of such crimes “have no place to hide,” aligning Israel’s stance with India’s counter-terrorism efforts.
As tensions simmer, the international community remains divided between calls for calm and support for India’s proactive measures against terror networks. The situation continues to unfold, with global attention focused on averting a broader regional conflict.

Either Our Water Flows, or Their Blood. Fiery Statement by Bilawal Bhutto
Former Pakistani Foreign Minister Bilawal Bhutto’s Fiery Statement Against India: “Either Our Water Flows, or Their Blood”.
The Chairman of the Pakistan People’s Party (PPP) and former Foreign Minister, Bilawal Bhutto, delivered a sharp statement against India during a public rally on Friday. He emphasized that the Indus River belongs to Pakistan and will remain so. Warning India, he said, “Either our water will flow, or their blood will flow.”
Bhutto stated that while the 1960 Indus Waters Treaty holds historical significance, India is attempting to unilaterally dismantle it. He accused India of blaming Pakistan for the Pulwama attack to mask its own shortcomings. Bhutto added, “For thousands of years, we have been the rightful heirs of the Indus River. It is an integral part of our people’s lives, and we will not surrender it to anyone.”
Bhutto Asserts: “The People of Pakistan Are Brave, and We Will Fight Back”
Bilawal Bhutto expressed confidence in the courage of Pakistan’s citizens, asserting that they would fiercely resist any Indian strategy. Praising the military, he assured that Pakistan’s armed forces are ready to counter any aggression at the borders. He also remarked that India cannot claim control over the Indus River simply due to its larger population.
Political Unity Over the Indus Waters Dispute
Despite differing political affiliations with Prime Minister Shahbaz Sharif, Bhutto stressed unity on the issue of the Indus Waters Treaty. Referring to his mother, Benazir Bhutto, he highlighted how PPP and the Sindh province have successfully thwarted plans to build dams and canals on the river. They remain vigilant against any future attempts.
India Takes a Major Step: Suspension of the Indus Waters Treaty
Following the Pulwama attack, the Indian government decided on April 23 to suspend the Indus Waters Treaty with Pakistan. Subsequently, a meeting of the Ministry of Water Resources was held at Amit Shah’s residence, where a three-phase strategy was devised. Water Resources Minister C.R. Patil declared that not a single drop of water would be given to Pakistan.
India’s Official Notice to Pakistan: Key Points
India sent an official notice to Pakistan, emphasizing the following points:
1. A demand for amendments to the Indus Waters Treaty.
2. The need for new regulations to promote clean energy development due to population changes.
3. Pakistan has violated the treaty, particularly by promoting terrorism in Jammu and Kashmir.
4. Security uncertainties have infringed upon India’s rights.
5. Therefore, the treaty has been suspended with immediate effect.
The 1960 Agreement: Now Halted
The 1960 agreement between Indian Prime Minister Jawaharlal Nehru and Pakistani President Ayub Khan divided the waters of the Indus Basin’s six rivers. India has full rights over the eastern rivers (Ravi, Beas, Sutlej), while it can utilize 20% of the water from the western rivers (Indus, Chenab, Jhelum). However, India has now decided to halt this agreement.
Five Major Decisions Against Pakistan Post-Pulwama Attack
1. Suspension of the Indus Waters Treaty
2. Closure of the Attari-Wagah Checkpost
3. Revocation of the SAARC Visa Scheme
4. Declaration of Pakistani High Commission Staff as ‘Personae Non Gratae’
5. Reduction of Staff at High Commissions from 55 to 30
Conclusion: India’s Strong Response
Through these five significant decisions, India has demonstrated a robust response to Pakistan’s alleged terrorist activities. These steps will profoundly impact bilateral relations, signaling India’s readiness to confront terrorism decisively.
